The awardees on this day included 7 exemplary seniors recommended by each neighborhood and local organizations, 10 contributors to senior welfare, and 5 institutions and organizations.
Additionally, at the Sunshine Plaza of Woori Mapo Welfare Center, various events were held, including the 'The Hyo-do Bapsang with Samsiki' booth where male seniors cooked and shared food, photo booths for instant four-cut photos, and one-minute caricatures.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "I am truly honored and fulfilled to be part of this occasion to respect and thank the seniors who have devoted their lives to the development of the nation and society," adding, "Mapo District will create a society where seniors are happy with the mindset that everyone is both a parent and a child."
