A Romantic Autumn Night Bonfire Busking: The First Couple is Born
Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province held the closing ceremony for the first session of "Jangreuman Trekking," a project aimed at connecting young men and women as part of its response to low birth rates, on the 27th of last month.
"Jangreuman Trekking" is a youth matchmaking program that links local attractions such as the Yeongdeok Blue Road. Over the past two months, about 30 men and women who either reside or work in North Gyeongsang Province participated in various activities to get to know each other.
The closing ceremony for the first session was held as a one-night, two-day event at the local Humanities Healing Center "Yeomyeong." On the first day, participants enjoyed private one-on-one dates for sincere conversations and created memories with a romantic autumn night bonfire busking. The following day, during the final couple matching session, the first official couple was formed.
The matched couples received vouchers for youth startup restaurants in Yeongdeok County to use on future dates, and North Gyeongsang Province plans to provide a cruise tour this winter.
One participant who became part of a couple said, "Through this program, I was able to talk with various peers whom I would not normally have the chance to meet, and unique experiences like trekking dates will remain as precious memories. I would highly recommend it to those around me."
The second session of the Jangreuman Trekking program will begin in October and run for a month in a commuting format. The program will feature various dating and experiential activities, such as local trekking, utilizing weekday evenings and weekends.
