Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) exhibited the GH Corporate Public Garden at the '12th Gyeonggi Garden Culture Expo' held from the 3rd to the 6th of this month at Dasan New Town Central Park and Linear Park in Namyangju.
As the project implementer of Dasan New Town, GH collaborated with artist Jo Yong-jun (CA Landscape Architecture Office) to create the '84 Forest Type' public garden inspired by the 84㎡ exclusive area, commonly known as the national apartment size, for this garden expo.
They created an 84㎡ open space decorated with tulip trees and Korean asters, allowing visitors to compare and experience the actual apartment size. Platforms of different shapes were arranged at 6-meter intervals to accommodate various personal preferences for relaxation.
Kim Se-yong, President of GH, stated, "We established the corporate public garden at this garden expo to promote carbon neutrality and raise awareness of the preciousness of nature disappearing for humans." He added, "We will strive to spread garden culture in daily life by creating public gardens within citizens' living areas."
