'70th Anniversary' Geumgang Jehwa Releases Limited Edition 200 Pairs of 'Regal 201'

Shoe brand Kumkang Shoe announced on the 3rd that it has launched the ‘Regal 201 Special Edition’ to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

The Regal 201 is the best-selling product among the Regal brand so far. The newly introduced product features renewed materials and design. It uses natural cowhide leather characterized by a solid texture and luxurious gloss, and incorporates Gore-Tex technology. The outsole applies Italy’s Vibram, known for its excellent non-slip function, enhancing durability.

The products are released in Chelsea boots, Derby shoes (Y-tip Derby, Plain Derby), Tyrolean, and Heritage Oxford models, with each model limited to 200 units. Among these, the Heritage Oxford model was produced in only 70 pairs, numbered from 1 to 70, to commemorate the 70th anniversary. A tag celebrating the limited edition is also included.

Kumkang Shoe has established itself as a leading domestic shoe brand by producing footwear products for 70 years since 1954. Currently, it operates over 30 brands including ‘Regal’, ‘Heritage’, ‘Landrover’, and ‘Le Nore’. Regal attracts domestic male customers with its simple design, recording an average annual sales volume of 1 million pairs. Heritage is a premium brand offering handcrafted shoes made with artisan spirit, stitching each pair meticulously. Landrover is a casual brand designed for comfortable wear with suits and casual clothes, while Le Nore is a representative women’s shoe brand.

Kumkang Shoe produces more than 95% of its products domestically. Among shoe manufacturers, it is the only one producing all processes domestically. It operates the Sejong Jochiwon factory in Korea, where artisans with 20 to 30 years of experience produce products such as Heritage and Regal. Its own factory in Indonesia produces 300,000 pairs. It is certified by Gore-Tex and can manufacture Gore-Tex products.

A Kumkang Shoe official said, “To ensure good quality, we are directly involved in and inspect all processes domestically to create the best shoes,” adding, “We will demonstrate that comfortable casual wear and shoes can harmonize in modern society and aim to attract a new younger generation.”
