Series A+... Series A Total Funding of 50 Billion KRW Raised
AI company MarkVision announced on the 4th that it has secured 22 billion KRW in Series A+ funding. This investment round included new investors such as Altos Ventures, Smilegate Investment, and Hillspring Investment, along with participation from existing investors Y Combinator and Atinum Investment.
With this, MarkVision has completed its Series A round with a total investment of 50 billion KRW. MarkVision provides a solution that uses AI technology to detect and sanction counterfeit products, unauthorized sales, illegal content, and online impersonation in real-time across 1,500 marketplaces in 180 countries worldwide. Compared to the first quarter of 2021 when the service was officially launched, revenue in the first quarter of this year has grown more than 30 times.
Along with securing this investment, MarkVision introduced its generative AI product suite called ‘Marq AI’. The company plans to integrate its previously separate solutions for removing counterfeit products and blocking illegal content, placing generative AI at the forefront.
Lee Inseop, CEO of MarkVision, stated, “Within the next two years, we aim to create an all-in-one IP management system that allows 1,000 brands and content companies to protect, manage, and license their IP in one place.” He added, “Through the launch of Marq AI, we will introduce generative AI into IP operations to deliver unprecedented efficiency and sophistication for businesses.”
