Kim Jong-un Criticizes President Yoon After 2 Years

Kim Jong-un Criticizes Yoon by Name, Calling Him an "Imperfect Person" While Mentioning "Nuclear-Armed State"...

Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea, strongly criticized President Yoon Suk-yeol, who delivered a strong warning message about North Korea's nuclear weapons in his National Armed Forces Day speech, saying, "He mentioned an overwhelming military response at the doorstep of a nuclear-armed country, which makes one suspect that he is not a sane person."

On the 2nd, the Korean Central News Agency reported that Chairman Kim, during his visit to the training base of the Korean People's Army Special Operations Unit in the western district, referred to President Yoon as the "Yoon Suk-yeol puppet," and disparaged him by saying, "The Yoon Suk-yeol puppet read a lengthy speech full of a persistent anti-Republic obsession and a response driven by a sense of grievance against our Republic." He added, "This reveals the security anxiety and nervous psychology that the puppets are burdened with."

Chairman Kim affirmed, "If the enemies, caught in extreme foolishness and recklessness, ignore our repeated warnings and, overflowing with excessive confidence in the ROK-US alliance, attempt to use force that infringes on the sovereignty of the Republic, we will mercilessly use all available offensive capabilities, including nuclear weapons."

He also threatened, "One should not foolishly hope for survival in a military conflict with a nuclear-armed country," and warned, "If such a situation arises, the survival of Seoul and the Republic of Korea will be impossible."

This is the first time in over two years since his so-called Victory Day speech in July 2022 that Chairman Kim has openly criticized President Yoon by name. In that speech, he referred to Yoon without his official title, saying, "I clearly remember the reckless remarks and disgraceful acts Yoon Suk-yeol uttered on various occasions before and after taking office," and unleashed harsh words.
