20 Years of Experience and Smarter e-Commerce
Providing Optimal Ads and Coupons for Each Consumer
Developing AI Chatbot with sLLM to Assist Shopping
Platiere, with over 20 years of experience and know-how in building e-commerce platforms, is being reborn through artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Platiere has secured platform development projects for major conglomerate affiliates such as Lotte Card, CJ Olive Young, and Hansome.com. Since its KOSDAQ listing in 2021, it has invested 10 billion KRW in solution advancement, including the adoption of AI technology.
As a result, it has developed technology that recommends products matching the conditions when users type their desired items in a natural conversational style in the online shopping mall search bar. For example, phrases like "Recommend a bright-colored wedding guest dress under 300,000 KRW" or "Suggest party food that vegetarians would like" are used.
CEO Lee Sang-hoon (photo) said in a recent interview at Platiere’s Seoul headquarters, "We have developed a small large language model (sLLM) specialized for e-commerce," adding, "We aim for AI technology that customers actually use and that delivers results for companies, not just AI in words."
Platiere’s representative e-commerce solutions are X2BEE and groobee. X2BEE provides all the necessary functions from A to Z for e-commerce platform development. Groobee analyzes customer behavior in real time to offer personalized product recommendations and send messages to encourage revisits. While X2BEE is a solution for corporate developers, groobee is designed for marketing managers.
CEO Lee stated, "X2BEE and groobee are products that embody Platiere’s know-how and AI technology," and added, "Clients can easily secure AI capabilities at reasonable costs and achieve visible results in efficiency and productivity improvements." Fashion mall A saw a 112% increase in order conversion rates after adopting groobee’s personalized marketing, and distribution company B attracted 10,000 membership sign-ups 15 days faster than expected.
Groobee analyzes each customer’s information, behavior, and preferences in real time when they enter the shopping mall. Through this, AI recommends the products the customer is most likely to prefer and sends hyper-personalized ads and coupons via push notifications, KakaoTalk, or text messages to induce purchases.
Kim Jin-sung, Platiere’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), introduced, "Marketing can be conducted by grouping customers according to visit frequency and style preferences," adding, "All statistics and figures are captured at once, making marketers’ work easier." The AI function that searches for products in natural conversational language was built based on Google Gemini and tested with about 400,000 products listed on Amazon’s site.
X2BEE is also becoming smarter by incorporating AI technology. The 'AI Shopping Chatbot' feature, to be released at the end of this month, enhances convenience by allowing users to directly perform product searches, order cancellations, and option changes within the chatbot conversation window. Users can also ask questions like "Tell me the best-selling product on this site."
Platiere is preparing to enter the Japanese and U.S. markets to lead digital transformation for overseas companies. CEO Lee said, "Compared to foreign solutions, we offer a more customer-friendly interface and reasonable prices while providing essential functions for online marketing," and added, "We will do our best to create a native product that can compete with foreign companies in the global market."
