In October, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do (Governor Choi Sang-gi) transforms into a festival ground full of various attractions and activities. With the arrival of autumn, a variety of events will be held throughout Inje-gun, attracting many visitors.
Inje-gun will hold the “42nd Hapgang Cultural Festival,” a representative local cultural festival of Inje-gun, from the 11th to the 13th at Hapgangjeong and Inje Lawn Stadium, among other locations.
Starting with the Hapgang ritual, the festival will continue with the opening ceremony, K&I (Korea&Inje)-Culture concert, drone light show, and various other events. This year, it is especially anticipated as it will be held together with the Military Personnel One-Heart Cultural and Sports Event and the Inje-gun Lifelong Learning Festival, raising residents’ expectations.
On the 11th, the Military Personnel One-Heart Cultural and Sports Event will be held at the Inje Lawn Stadium area, featuring a sports competition, cultural experience booths, and a food zone. At 6:30 PM, a music festival will take place with popular singers QWER, VIVIZ, and Signature performing and engaging with the audience.
On the 12th, the Hapgang Cultural Festival opening ceremony, K&I (Korea&Inje)-Culture concert, and drone light show will be held. The K&I (Korea&Inje) concert will feature performances by Insooni, Lee Seok-hoon, Kim Feel, and Son Tae-jin, promising wonderful shows. On the 13th, residents will gather at Inje Lawn Stadium for a community sports competition to promote harmony and exchange.
Meanwhile, festivals and events where visitors can feel the autumn atmosphere are also prepared. The “2024 Inje Autumn Flower Festival,” which has attracted over 30,000 visitors on the first weekend since its opening and is gaining popularity, is bustling daily with people enjoying flowers and the autumn ambiance. The Autumn Flower Festival will continue until the 20th at the Yongdae Tourist Site in Buk-myeon.
Especially on Saturday the 5th, the festival site will open at night, featuring performances by popular singers Tak Jae-hoon, Shin Gyu-jin, and Stand Up, providing visitors with exciting entertainment.
Additionally, on the 19th, the “2024 Oxfam Walk” will be held in the area of the Inje Birch Forest. Actor Lee Ha-nee and participants will walk together through the Wondaeri Birch Forest, and the collected participation fees will be used to support impoverished women and girls worldwide.
Other diverse and distinctive events will be held consecutively, including the Inje Cheonrigil Walking Event (19th?20th), the 2nd Gwandaeri Jazz Festival (26th), and the Hachuri Dorikkae Festival (26th?27th). An official from Inje-gun stated, “We will focus on safety management to ensure that visitors can comfortably enjoy the festivals and events.”
