At the opening ceremony, the Anseong Namsadang Pungmul Troupe performed traditional plays celebrating the Baudeogi Festival, followed by the Anseong Taepyeongmu dance and world folk performances by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF).
Notably, the event revived the Anseong Market, one of the three major markets during the Joseon Dynasty, as a modern pop-up store. The 'Anseong Cultural Market Festa' program featured participation from artists, craftsmen, and writers nationwide, offering diverse cultural experiences and activities, drawing significant attention.
At 7 p.m. that evening, the opening ceremony held on the main stage within Anseong Matchum Land showcased a joint performance titled "Baudeogi Meets the World," featuring the Baudeogi Pungmul Troupe and the world folk performance group.
Festival Chairman and Mayor Kim Bora stated, "This year's Baudeogi Festival will be a meaningful time that transcends generations, nationalities, and languages, uniting us through culture. We hope everyone enjoys the diverse programs and content at the festival and gains the strength to successfully conclude this year."
