"What's the Dog and Mom's Fault?" Fierce Criticism
Go Young-wook, who became known as the 'first celebrity with an electronic ankle bracelet' due to charges of sexually assaulting and molesting minors, expressed disappointment with SBS's long-running program 'TV Animal Farm.' He was upset that his pet dog was not mentioned.
On the 30th of last month, Go Young-wook uploaded his solo song from the group Roolla's album on X, claiming that "'TV Animal Farm' has continued this long thanks to the segment 'Go Young-wook's Dog Era,' which featured our dogs and is widely recognized as the most popular corner in the show's history." He questioned, "In a previous special, I saw that they didn't even mention Jjiru, and the most popular dog was Ungja? What crime did the dog and its owner commit?" He added, "Everyone knows that Jjiru was the most popular, so shouldn't the MCs who have been hosting the show have at least mentioned Jjiru?" and concluded, "I feel sorry for the late Jjiru and it is very bittersweet."

Regarding the song he uploaded, he explained, "That was our corner's main theme song back then. Apart from being used to that extent, it's basically a new song." He recalled, "I heard from the composer that during the mixing of this song in the recording studio, another reporter who didn't participate in the recording asked if it was a new song by Yoon Sang, which was an honorable comment." He also mentioned Yoon Sang, saying, "I have always liked Yoon Sang's music and still do, and at one point, we worked together on the MBC sitcom 'Glory of the Family.'"
He also claimed, "Embarrassingly, but literally, Crying Rap, which anyone with basic English skills can understand as rap performed while crying, is something I am the only one to have done in Korea." He added, "It would have been better if the vocal track was mixed louder, but I find comfort in being able to find and upload this file." He concluded, "I don't know how many people will listen, but I am uploading it with the meaning of bringing out a buried song and letting people know about it!"
Go Young-wook was arrested and indicted in January 2013 on charges of sexually assaulting and molesting three minors a total of four times between July 2010 and December 2012 at his officetel and car (violating the Child and Youth Protection Act). Later, the Supreme Court sentenced him to 2 years and 6 months in prison, 3 years of electronic ankle bracelet monitoring, and 5 years of information disclosure. He was released after serving his sentence in 2015.
In November 2020, he opened an Instagram account saying, "I now want to cautiously communicate with the world," but the account was shut down after just one day due to Instagram's operating policies. In August, he announced the launch of his YouTube channel 'Go! Young-wook GoDog Days' with a post saying, "I have lived a shameful life. Feeling like I am aging miserably at home, rambling, I want to escape this lethargic daily life, so I am starting YouTube without much planning," but YouTube also closed his account.
