Gwangju City Successfully Hosts the 53rd Gwangju Citizens' Day Bang Se-hwan, Mayor of Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, is delivering a greeting at the '53rd Gwangju Citizens' Day' event held at the City Hall WASBE Plaza on the 28th of last month.

Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 2nd that it successfully held the '53rd Gwangju Citizens' Day' event at the city hall WASBE plaza on the 28th of last month.


The event was attended by about 2,100 people, including Mayor Bang Se-hwan, members of the National Assembly, provincial and city council members, and citizens. Under the theme "United through Culture and Arts," it was organized as a festival where citizens who have worked for the city's development could come together and enjoy themselves.


The event was hosted by announcers Son Beom-su and Lee Jeong-min, who are serving as Gwangju City's ambassadors, and proceeded in the order of pre-ceremony performances, a commemorative ceremony, and congratulatory performances.


The pre-ceremony performances featured drummer Lino and a demonstration by the Gwangju City Taekwondo team. The commemorative ceremony included the presentation of the Citizen Award, commemorative speeches, and congratulatory addresses.


During the congratulatory performances, Jang Min-ho, Min Kyung-hoon, BB Girls, Kim Hye-yeon, and Woo Yeon took the stage to entertain the citizens.


Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has shown infinite interest and affection and contributed to the city's development." He added, "Gwangju City is a historic city with a thousand years of history, and I hope all citizens take pride and dignity as we strive toward a sustainable future."
