Yeongdeungpo-gu Recruiting Restaurants for 'Delivery-Only Kitchen Open House' Participation

Year-Round Recruitment of Delivery-Only Restaurant Kitchens for 'Kitchen Disclosure' Participation... Support for Kitchen Hygiene Supplies
Clean Kitchen Photos and Business Information Posted on Old Website... Expected Promotional Effect
Accelerating Consumer Food Safety Assurance... Ongoing Hygiene Guidance and Inspection for Delivery-Only Restaurants

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) is recruiting new participating businesses for the 'Delivery-Only Restaurant Kitchen Disclosure' program to create a proper food culture where residents can consume with confidence.

With the increase in single-person households and the convenience of delivery apps, the delivery food market continues to grow. Accordingly, the district is newly operating the 'Delivery-Only Restaurant Kitchen Disclosure' project to alleviate consumers' concerns about food hygiene.

The 'Delivery-Only Restaurant Kitchen Disclosure' project publicly shares photos of kitchens of restaurants that specialize in delivery without dining seats on the district health center website, reflecting the normalization of non-face-to-face orders.

The district transparently discloses kitchens of delivery restaurants that have not been previously open to the public, enhancing consumer trust in hygiene management.

Businesses wishing to participate in the project can submit an application form by visiting the Yeongdeungpo-gu Health Center's Health and Hygiene Division in person, or by fax or email.

Recruitment of businesses is ongoing throughout the year, and application forms can be downloaded from the district website. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Health and Hygiene Division or by referring to the public notices section on the district website.

Businesses selected for the kitchen disclosure project will have their kitchen photos and business information posted on the 'Yeongdeungpo-gu Health Center Website - Food Hygiene - Kitchen Disclosure Delivery Restaurants' bulletin board, which can naturally provide promotional effects. The district also supports the production of QR code stickers linked to the bulletin board. These stickers are attached to containers during delivery so that consumers can easily check various information about the restaurant.

Participating businesses in the kitchen disclosure project also receive hygiene management supplies. Additionally, they may be promoted through various media such as the health center website, district SNS, and Yeongdeungpo newsletter.

The district has been selected as an 'Excellent District' for five consecutive years in the 'Comprehensive Evaluation of Food Hygiene by Autonomous Districts' hosted by Seoul City, solidifying its leading role in the field of food hygiene safety.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “This project is a great opportunity to alleviate consumers' concerns about delivery food and to enhance the pride of food service operators. We will continue to strive to manage hygiene environments and do our best to provide food that residents can trust and enjoy.”
