Pohang Craft Beer Festival, Urban Sensibility Festival Opens on the 11th

Craft Beer and Unique Foods Together... A Unique Urban Sensibility Festival

Pohang City will host the ‘Pohang Craft Beer Festival’ at Pohang Yangdeok Sports Park for two days from the 11th to the 12th, aiming to boost consumption and revitalize the local commercial district.

The opening ceremony of the festival will take place at 7:00 PM on the 11th, and the event will be operated from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Famous craft beer breweries from across the country, which have recently gained popularity, will run sales booths to showcase a variety of beer flavors. There will also be tasting events featuring craft beers produced in Pohang.

Additionally, food trucks and a food zone will provide a wide selection of unique and plentiful local foods that pair well with beer, in collaboration with local merchants. A flea market will also be held, where local small business owners can display, promote, and sell their products.

Throughout the event hours, a variety of stage programs will be presented, including an opening ceremony performance, congratulatory performances by famous singers, band performances, and DJ shows.

There will also be a range of events for citizens to enjoy together. Unique attractions such as a beer drinking contest, dart throwing, beer pong games, and mini-games throughout the venue will add excitement to the festival.

There will be comfortable spaces such as table zones and picnic mat zones where couples and families can relax and enjoy themselves. In addition to beer, a variety of foods and entertainment options will be available, making it suitable for family participation.

Mayor Lee Kangdeok stated, “I hope this festival will empower small business owners, serve as a catalyst for the recovery of the local economy, and revitalize neighborhood commercial districts. I also look forward to Pohang’s craft beer developing into a nationally recognized beer and establishing a new city brand as a craft beer destination.”
