Approximately 165㎡ of the school flowerbed was planted with a total of 1,800 plants of 28 species, including endangered species and native plants of Korea such as Buchae Iris, Heuksando Lilyturf, and Jeju Willow. Education was also provided to raise awareness of biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.
The ecological forest created this time is part of social contribution activities in collaboration with the local community. In the future, students will manage the forest under the leadership of the school's ecological club and interact with the living organisms. Earlier this year, the first school ecological forest was created at Sangwon Elementary School in Seoul.
