Goyang-si Successfully Concludes the 25th Tongillo Music Festival

A 'Stage of Harmony and Festival' Created by the Enthusiastic Competition of 12 Final Contestants

Goyang-si Successfully Concludes the 25th Tongillo Music Festival On the 28th of last month, the 25th Tongillo Music Festival was held at Gongneungcheon Culture and Sports Park.

Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi announced on the 2nd that the 25th Tongillo Music Festival was successfully held at Gongneungcheon Culture and Sports Park on the 28th of last month.


The Tongillo Music Festival is an event held to revitalize the local culture of areas such as Gwansan, Goyang, Gobong, and Wonsin, hosted by the Korea Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organizations Goyang Branch, organized by the Korea Entertainers Association Goyang Branch, and supported by Goyang Special City.


This year marked the 25th festival, and after a preliminary singing contest held on the 21st of last month, 12 participants were selected to compete in the finals on the 28th.


Hosted by the witty MC An Jong-nam, the music festival featured passionate performances by the 12 finalists selected through the preliminaries, as well as invited singers such as Jin Simon, Mokbi, and Gu Su-gyeong, providing the audience with a diverse musical experience.


About 800 spectators united to enjoy the excitement of music on a pleasant autumn evening, and the food market participated in by the Gwansan-dong Women's Association offered abundant food, adding to the warm and festive atmosphere of the music festival.


In the contest held that day, Lee Tae-hyun (Gwansan-dong), who sang "Seoul's Moon" with participant number 7, won the grand prize with outstanding skill.


Other awardees included △Gold Prize: participant number 10 Lee Ji-won △Silver Prize: participant number 5 Ji Na-yeon △Bronze Prize: participant number 3 Park Jeong-hwan △Encouragement Prize: participant number 4 Jo Jeong-ja △Popularity Prize: participant numbers 1 Park Ju-shin and Park Eun-seo, while the remaining participants received commemorative gifts.


Attending the event, Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, said, “I am pleased that the Tongillo Music Festival has established itself as a place of harmony and celebration where citizens can showcase their talents and charm. I hope it continues to be a music festival that citizens can enjoy, and I will also strive for the development of the Tongillo area in the future.”
