Building a Global Network Foundation
for the Dissemination of Scientific Evidence in Korean Medicine
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development's Korean Medicine Innovation Technology Development Project Group held a special session titled "Korean Medicine Innovation Technology Development Project Performance Exchange Meeting" at the 2024 International Acupuncture Council Annual Conference on September 27.
This exchange meeting was organized to share the research achievements of the Korean Medicine Innovation Technology Development Project on the international stage and to facilitate information exchange among Korean medicine researchers both domestically and internationally.
In particular, during the session themed "New Challenges in Korean Medicine Research and Development," research teams from various sub-projects of the Korean Medicine Innovation Technology Development Project were invited to present their results. The session also included discussions on the prospects of standardized clinical practice guidelines for Korean medicine in the context of the future of clinical practice guidelines in Korean medicine.
Lee Junhyuk, Head of the Korean Medicine Innovation Technology Development Project Group, stated, "Through this performance exchange meeting, I hope that the research conducted under the Korean Medicine Innovation Technology Development Project will be shared as an achievement at international academic conferences, and that standardized Korean medicine based on scientific evidence will be disseminated and utilized as a global standard for traditional medicine."
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development plans to continue building a global network foundation that can contribute to the generation and dissemination of evidence in the field of Korean medicine.
