Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 30th that the 8th session of the Life Re-design School, a lifelong re-design education program for middle-aged and older adults to prepare for a new life and stable retirement, will begin on the 2nd of next month.
The city will operate the 8th session of the Life Re-design School education from October 2 to November 20 for 20 middle-aged citizens (born between 1955 and 1974).
Previously, the city recruited participants on a first-come, first-served basis until the 20th.
This education program consists of expert lectures on topics such as △re-employment strategies △customized resume writing △following the N-job trend △experiencing companies preferred by middle-aged adults.
In particular, the customized career design one-on-one counseling process, which was added and expanded from the previous session, is providing practical help in systematizing career design and is raising expectations among the middle-aged population.
A city official said, “It seems that many people are concerned about how to plan for a longer retirement life,” and added, “We hope that the Life Re-design School, which has been steadily conducted in Namyangju City, will provide practical help to middle-aged citizens facing a turning point in their lives.”
