Guri-si Gyomun 1-dong Resident Autonomy Committee Conducts Achasan Guardian Activities On the 28th, the Gyomun 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Guri City, under the organization of the Gyomun 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, is conducting trash picking and a wildfire prevention campaign as part of the Achasan Guardians activities.

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 30th that the Gyomun 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center (Dongjang Lee Jin-su) conducted a trash picking and wildfire prevention campaign as part of the Achasan Guardians activities, organized by the Gyomun 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman Yang Young-mo) on the 28th.

The activity was carried out as an environmental cleanup effort to remove trash along the hiking trails at Achasan Hyeongje Springs and Jeonggaksa Temple, with 16 participants including members of the Gyomun 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee and local organizations.

Yang Young-mo, Chairman of the Gyomun 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, said, “The Achasan Guardians activities are rewarding efforts that clean the hiking trails for citizens and enhance local pride. We will continue to carry out these activities steadily. Also, since autumn is a period with increased visitors to Achasan, the risk of fire rises accordingly. We hope all citizens will work together to create a fire-free Achasan.”

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the members of the Gyomun 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee and other local organization members, including the Tongjang Council, for participating in the campaign despite their busy schedules.”

Meanwhile, the Achasan Guardians is a volunteer group formed by the Gyomun 1-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee since 2010, serving as vigilant protectors of the community by thoroughly monitoring the Achasan area and conducting various environmental cleanup activities.
