Yeongju Agricultural Specialties Target the US Market Across the Pacific

10 Companies with 29 Products Participate in LA Korean Festival

The Yeongju City Export Companies Association (Chairman Kwon Heonjun) participated in the LA Korean Festival, held under the theme 'Diversity into the Festival' from the 26th to the 29th (local time) at Seoul International Park in Koreatown, Los Angeles, USA, to promote local agricultural and specialty products.


Celebrating its 51st anniversary this year, the LA Korean Festival is a cultural event for the Korean American community. Since 2012, when Yeongju City first introduced Punggi Ginseng, the city has consistently exported outstanding local agricultural and specialty products. Through ongoing promotional efforts, export volumes have steadily increased.


This year's festival featured ten representative companies from Yeongju (Buseong Agricultural Corporation, Lasam Agricultural Corporation, Sarangae Buseoktae Doenjang, Seonbi Honey, Sunfarm Energy Agricultural Cooperative, Anjeong Nonghyup, Jeolmeun Inkyun, Punggi Ginseng Corporation Agricultural Cooperative, Punggi Ginseng Nonghyup, Punggi Specialty Products Agricultural Cooperative), showcasing and selling a variety of products including red ginseng, honey, fermented soybean paste, wild ginseng, fruit juice, inkyun, and rice.


Additionally, both online and offline advertisements were conducted through media outlets such as Radio Seoul's 'Tangerine's Health ChaChaCha' and the LA JoongAng Daily. Through these efforts, the excellence and diversity of local agricultural and specialty products were promoted in the North American market, helping to pioneer new sales channels.


Song Byungkwon, Executive Director of the Yeongju City Export Companies Association, stated, "Following last year, many companies have once again participated in the LA Korean Festival with high-quality agricultural and specialty products," and added, "We hope this event will further promote the excellence of Yeongju's products and serve as an opportunity to secure a continuous foothold in the US market."
