Park Hee-young, the Yongsan District Mayor who was acquitted in the first trial on charges including inadequate response to the Halloween disaster, boarded a vehicle and left after finishing the trial at the Seoul Western District Court in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 30th, while the bereaved families of the Itaewon disaster protested and expressed their anger.
