October 1-13, Ilsan Lake Park Theme Plaza and Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall
The Goyang International Flower Exhibition Foundation announced on the 30th that it will hold the '2024 Goyang Autumn Flower Festival' from October 1st at the Theme Plaza area of Ilsan Lake Park and the outdoor area in front of the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall, under the theme of the autumn scenery of Ilsan Lake Park.
The foundation will create an autumn-themed garden featuring autumn chrysanthemums and various autumn flowers directly cultivated and produced by farmers in Goyang City, as well as an autumn flower field decorated with cosmos and celosia, providing an opportunity to enjoy the autumn flowers and feel the atmosphere of autumn.
Additionally, the foundation has prepared an autumn-themed emotional photo zone where visitors can leave memories. A frame-shaped photo zone where visitors can fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere has been set up in the wall exhibition space within Ilsan Lake Park. Besides this, various attractions such as a mini train and mini Viking ride will be operated for family visitors.
In the outdoor festival area, the Goyang Flower Market has been established. Twenty-four flower market booths will operate, offering a variety of high-quality ornamental potted plants, cacti, succulents, and more at affordable prices.
Lee Dong-hwan, the Special Mayor of Goyang (Chairman of the Goyang International Flower Exhibition), said, "Various flower farms that cultivate high-quality and beautiful autumn flowers will participate in the Autumn Flower Festival. We hope this festival will help flower farms and contribute to promoting flower consumption." He added, "We ask for the citizens' interest and expectations, and hope they visit with family and loved ones to create joyful memories."
Meanwhile, ahead of the festival, an opening ceremony was held at 4 p.m. on the 30th at the Theme Plaza of Ilsan Lake Park. Lee Dong-hwan, Special Mayor of Goyang, the CEO of the Goyang International Flower Exhibition Foundation, and related flower farm representatives attended, with the ceremony including opening remarks, congratulatory speeches, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The 2024 Goyang Autumn Flower Festival will be held for a total of 13 days from October 1st to 13th at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall area in Ilsan Lake Park, and admission is free.
