Yeoncheon-gun has successfully completed the 9th term of the Future Unification University Department of Character Education for military personnel and their families. Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that the 9th Unification Future University Character Department for military personnel and their families was successfully completed.
This program was planned to provide lifelong learning opportunities to military personnel and their families and to cultivate positive emotions and proper character. A total of 439 participants attended the Unification Future University Character Department, which was held from August 20 to September 24.
The training took place at the 5th Division Medical Unit and the 13th floor of Yeoncheon I-Park, with instructors from the Yeoncheon Character Instructor Association providing various lectures.
Specifically, the program was divided into 9 sessions for military personnel and 5 sessions for military families. The course for military personnel aimed to enhance self-understanding and understanding of others through aromatherapy, and helped improve adaptation to military life through various physical activities and mindfulness exercises.
The course for military families included activities such as making scented canvases, roll-on perfumes, and incense meditation, contributing to improved communication and understanding among family members.
An official from the Army's 5th Infantry Division stated, “This training had a positive impact on military personnel and their families, and we hope that such programs will continue to be operated in the future.”
