Golden Holiday Bridge, 'Support Funds Galore' When Visiting Gwangyang

Small Group Tours for 2-5 People
Up to 80,000 KRW Rewarded for SNS Verification

Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 30th that it recommends the ‘How About Gwangyang Today?’ program, which provides incentives (support funds) to individual tourists visiting Gwangyang during the golden holiday of Pongdangpongdang Stepping Stones.


‘How About Gwangyang Today?’ is a project that offers up to 80,000 KRW in incentives (support funds) to small groups of 2 to 5 individual tourists who travel to Gwangyang and meet support conditions such as SNS certification.

The city provides incentives of 30,000 KRW, 50,000 KRW, or 80,000 KRW on a first-come, first-served basis within the budget depending on the amount spent locally, with mandatory support conditions including visiting tourist sites and SNS certification.


To receive the support funds, individual tourists must submit a travel plan to the person in charge via email at least one day before the trip.


Additionally, within 7 days after the trip, they must post on SNS including information about the tourist sites visited and keep the post up until December 31 of this year.


Participation is limited to once per year, and the team representative must be at least 18 years old and submit the payment application documents by registered mail or in person within 15 days after the trip ends.


Kim Seong-su, Director of Tourism, said, “October in Gwangyang is lively with festivals and cultural arts such as the Gwangyang Traditional Charcoal Grilled Festival, the 4th Gwangyang K-POP Festival, and the International Media Art Exchange Exhibition,” adding, “We recommend ‘How About Gwangyang Today?’ which allows you to enjoy Gwangyang’s rich culture and arts without burden through generous incentives.”


Meanwhile, in October, Gwangyang will host a variety of festivals including the Gwangyang Traditional Charcoal Grilled Festival (11th?13th), the 4th Gwangyang K-POP Festival (25th?26th), and the Gwangyang-Linz Media Art Exchange Exhibition ‘From Light 8637’ (2nd?10th).
