Jeonnam Agricultural High Schools Hit the Jackpot at the National Young Farmers Festival

74 Students from 9 Schools Participate... 25 Medals Won
Minister of Education Awarded in Agricultural Product Distribution Field

Students from agricultural high schools in Jeonnam achieved remarkable results at the National Farming Student Festival.


The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 30th that 74 students from 9 agricultural high schools in the province participated in the '53rd National Farming Student Festival (FFK Busan Competition)' held from the 25th to the 27th at Dongnae Horticultural High School in Busan, winning a total of 25 awards including 1 Minister of Education Award, 5 Gold, 9 Silver, and 10 Bronze medals.


This festival, under the theme "Smarter Agriculture, Blossoming," saw 838 students from 14 city and provincial offices of education nationwide competing in 20 events.

In the major competition fields, awards were given in Plant Resources (1 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze), Animal Resources (1 Gold, 2 Bronze), Food Processing (1 Gold, 1 Bronze), Agricultural Machinery (2 Silver, 2 Bronze), Agricultural Product Distribution (1 Minister's Award, 1 Silver), and Landscaping and Forest Resources (2 Gold, 2 Silver).


In the practical competition field, Baking and Pastry (1 Silver) received awards, and in the project completion presentation field, the Management (joint) project team (2 members, 1 Bronze), Agricultural Product Marketing (1 Bronze), and FFK Golden Bell (1 Silver) were awarded.


Kim Eun-seop, Director of Career Education, said, "The bio-agriculture industry is developing further as a new industry nurturing the future," adding, "We hope Jeonnam FFK members grow into talents who will lead future agriculture, promote the value of agriculture, and play a pivotal role in South Korea's agriculture."
