Uijeongbu-si Forest Family Camping Program... A Memorable Autumn Memory Gift

Uijeongbu-si Forest Family Camping Program... A Memorable Autumn Memory Gift Mayor Kim Dong-geun is attending the 'Family Camping in the Forest' and taking a commemorative photo with the participating families.

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 30th that it held a 'Forest Family Camping' event for about 70 youth families from Uijeongbu City over one night and two days on the 28th and 29th at Jailsan Forest Bathing Area and the Youth Training Center.

This forest family camping, which can be enjoyed within the city, was the second event of the year organized jointly by the city and the Youth Foundation, with a total of 21 family teams participating, including youth from lower elementary school to high school students.

Starting with fun recreation activities, the program included a forest interpretation themed 'Invitation to the Forest at Jailsan Forest Bathing Area,' a woodworking experience where participants create their own family works, a family cooking experience with a barbecue party, and making a family wish tree to build warm memories together.

This event was prepared as a well-rounded program by actively reviewing and reflecting satisfaction surveys from the first session.

In particular, at Jailsan Forest Bathing Area, which has become a resting and healing space for citizens, families enjoyed forest interpretation and woodworking experiences utilizing the pristine natural environment, including a 3-hectare pine nut forest, a wind bathing area, and a hydrangea garden, breathing in phytoncides and experiencing the tranquil atmosphere of the forest bath.

After the forest education program, various activities were held at the Youth Training Center adjacent to Jikdong Neighborhood Park, allowing families to enjoy the autumn camping atmosphere, strengthen family bonds, and help students appreciate the precious time spent with their parents.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I hope the Forest Family Camping program will become a meaningful camping activity where people can gain both the beauty of nature and the importance of family,” and added, “We will continue to actively support various customized programs so that many students and families can enjoy happier lives.”
