AliExpress, in cooperation with the Korea Importers Association, selects the best-selling items by category from the products sold each month. Then, it plans to request safety conformity tests based on domestic standards from five domestic testing institutions (KTR, KCL, KOTITI, FITI, KATRI).

Previously, AliExpress had taken measures to suspend sales of products deemed non-compliant based on test results conducted by related domestic institutions. These tests were conducted through overseas laboratories but based on domestic standards.

Through this MOU, AliExpress aims to secure product safety and strengthen consumer protection. CEO Ray Zhang emphasized, "We decided to collaborate with the Korea Importers Association, a reputable import specialist organization in Korea, so that Korean consumers can feel more secure," adding, "We will continuously expand the scope of inspections and implement stronger consumer protection measures based on safety test results from Korea’s leading testing institutions."

Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association, stated, "AliExpress has a strong will to take firm actions against harmful products," and added, "The Importers Association will also conduct objective and transparent investigations for consumer safety and actively cooperate so that AliExpress can promptly take necessary actions based on the test results."
