Yangsan City in Gyeongnam has successfully held the province's first 'Generative AI Practical Training' for public officials.
This training focused on increasing work efficiency through AI and introducing new work methods, and was held with great success. The training was conducted as part of efforts to enhance the efficiency of public institutions and improve public officials' understanding of the latest technologies in response to the rapidly changing digital era.
In particular, Yangsan City Deputy Mayor Jo Hyeonok attracted attention by demonstrating a greeting using the AI model 'ChatGPT.' Deputy Mayor Jo said, "AI technology is now an essential element in the public sector, and I hope that through this training, our public officials will be able to perform their duties more efficiently."
The public officials who attended the training acquired practical techniques and ideas that can be applied to their actual work using generative AI technology. In addition to theory, participants learned about various use cases of generative AI through hands-on practice, which is expected to increase the possibility of applying these technologies in their work in the future.
Through this training, Yangsan City has laid the foundation for the successful application of generative AI in administrative tasks and plans to continue providing various programs to help citizens experience new technologies and apply them in their daily lives.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "We are developing various AI-based programs to enhance public safety and efficiency," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that these efforts lead to tangible benefits for citizens."
