'Autumn Night Concert'... Held on the 5th of next month at Gangbuk District Residents' Stadium

Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 30th that it will hold the '2024 Autumn Night Concert' at the Gangbuk-gu Citizens' Stadium on October 5th, illuminating the autumn night with music.

Now in its third year, this concert is designed to invigorate and energize residents tired from the long heatwave through a high-quality cultural performance that allows them to fully enjoy the romance and atmosphere of autumn.

Until last year, the event was held at the National April 19th Democratic Cemetery with a seating capacity of 4,000. This year, the venue has been moved to the newly remodeled Gangbuk-gu Citizens' Stadium and expanded to accommodate 7,000 seats. With the larger scale, the plan is to offer a more diverse cultural performance to a greater number of citizens.

The event will begin at 3 PM with a pre-show cultural performance featuring local artists, followed by the opening ceremony at 6 PM, then Part 1 musical gala show, and Part 2 popular singer performances.

In Part 1, talented musical actors such as Seo Beom-seok, Jang Eun-ah, Choi Dae-cheol, and Kwak Dong-hyun will present a musical gala show composed of representative songs from well-known musicals like Moulin Rouge, Chicago, and Rebecca. Following this, Part 2 will feature top domestic singers including Song Ga-in, Kim Jin-ho, Gummy, and UV, delivering a splendid and rich stage to provide enjoyment and emotion to the audience.

The concert is open to everyone, with admission on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon. In particular, separate mat seating will be provided so that families and friends can comfortably enjoy the performance together, which is expected to receive great enthusiasm from residents.

As a large number of spectators are expected, the district is working closely with related organizations such as the police station and fire station to ensure safety and order at the venue and to prevent accidents. A district official requested that visitors use public transportation as parking will not be available.

Mayor Lee Soon-hee stated, "We have prepared various performance stages so that residents can experience high-quality musical arts," and added, "I hope this Autumn Night Concert will be a healing time and a precious memory for all residents on an autumn night."
