Busan City will host the Busan Animal Love Culture Festival '2024 With Pet Star' at the lawn plaza of Hwamyeong Ecological Park from October 5 to 6.
'With Pet Star' is a representative companion animal festival in the Busan region. This year, under the slogan "Be Happy Together, Love Together!", it will feature a variety of unique programs exclusive to Busan that both current and prospective pet owners can enjoy.
Main events include ▲World Animal Day commemorative 'Pet Plogging' (Oct. 5) ▲Cat Talk Salon with veterinarian Kim Myungcheol (Oct. 5) ▲KNN 'Sing One, Talk Two' radio live broadcast (Oct. 5) ▲Petiquette Talk Show with the original 'Dog President' Lee Woongjong, head trainer (Oct. 6) ▲Agility Zone Mongrang Sports Day (Oct. 5-6) ▲Air Bounce Ball Pool Playground, Pet Park With Land (Oct. 5-6) ▲Free health consultations for companion animals at Daengnyang Medical Center (Oct. 5-6), and more.
Additionally, programs such as ▲'Autumn Camping with You' and ▲'Autumn Daengnyang Picnic,' which highlight the characteristics of the season and venue, will offer special memories for participants with their pets.
Any citizen who loves animals can participate in the event free of charge.
The 'Pet Plogging' and 'Autumn Camping with You' programs require online pre-registration, while all other programs are open to everyone on-site without prior application.
Shim Seongtae, Director of the Marine, Agriculture, and Fisheries Bureau of Busan City, stated, "We expect this festival to be an opportunity for Busan to take another leap forward as a 'pet-friendly city.' We look forward to the participation of many citizens to help establish a mature companion animal culture and further develop Busan as a pet-friendly city."
