Goyang-si Calls for Sites for 'Our Neighborhood Win-Win Parking Lot Development Project'

Created as private idle land and temporary parking lots... Property tax reduction for landowners

Goyang-si Calls for Sites for 'Our Neighborhood Win-Win Parking Lot Development Project' Goyang City Hall exterior.

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it will publicly recruit sites to participate in the 2025 "Our Neighborhood Win-Win Parking Lot Creation Project" from October 30 to November 29.

The city is promoting the "Our Neighborhood Win-Win Parking Lot Creation Project" mainly in areas where parking difficulties are severe but land acquisition for parking lot construction is difficult. This project is carried out by the city leasing private idle land free of charge to create small-scale temporary parking lots and then opening them to residents.

The recruitment targets are lands where parking lots with 5 to 30 parking spaces can be created within areas densely populated with detached houses and neighborhood living facilities, and where the facilities can be maintained for more than two years. The city will recruit target sites until the end of November and select project sites through screening by February next year. Selected landowners will receive property tax reduction benefits for the respective land.

Applications can be submitted by mail, visit (Goyang City Parking and Traffic Division or the relevant Dong Administrative Welfare Center), or email to the Goyang City Parking and Traffic Division along with the application form and attached documents. Detailed information can be found on the Goyang City Hall website's notice board.

A city official said, "We ask for the interest and participation of citizens in the 'Our Neighborhood Win-Win Parking Lot Creation Project,' which has been continuously promoted since 2023," and added, "We will do our best to provide parking spaces that residents can conveniently use."
