Goyang-si Announces Ordinance on Management and Use of Hangang Park

Detailed Usage Procedures, Prohibited Acts, and Penalty Regulations... 'Hangang Park for Everyone to Enjoy Together'

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 30th that it promulgated the "Ordinance on the Management and Use of Goyang City Hangang Park" on the 27th to enable citizens to use Hangang Park comfortably and safely.

This ordinance was established to regulate the management and operation of parks and other facilities created within the national river (Hangang) managed by Goyang City, minimizing factors that undermine public interest and promoting citizens' healthy leisure and convenience.

The city plans to manage Hangang Park more systematically to prevent indiscriminate use and continuously strive to allow citizens to enjoy the park in a better environment.

The newly promulgated ordinance stipulates procedures for use, such as application for use of park facilities, restrictions, and collection of usage fees, as well as prohibited acts within the park, enforcement, and imposition of fines.

A city official said, "Through the establishment of this ordinance, we will do our best to protect the public interest of Hangang Park and enable citizens to enjoy leisure in a pleasant environment."

Meanwhile, the city is promoting various maintenance projects to ensure the safety and activation of the jurisdictional Hangang Park, including the installation of security lights, establishment of CCTV, construction connecting the Hangang to Dosimcheon bicycle road, and the creation of a grass plaza.
