This District Mayor Served as a Special Lecturer on Policy Proposal Class on the 25th, Sharing the Process of Solving Key Dongdaemun-gu Issues and Conducting Q&A

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun District, gave a special lecture on policy proposals and their connections to Sungkyunkwan University students at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus Business Hall on the 25th.

This special lecture was held to share real-life cases in the field as part of a class that explores the process of generating ideas to solve community problems and implementing them as policies.

The mayor specifically explained the process of addressing major tasks in Dongdaemun District during the second year of the 8th local government administration.

The major tasks resolved include ▲promotion of the Jangandong logistics terminal ▲relocation of the Samcheonri briquette factory ▲regulation of illegal street vendors.

Mayor Lee also presented solutions for remaining issues such as ▲expansion of the Suin-Bundang Line ▲revitalization of traditional markets around Cheongnyangni ▲innovation in secondary education.

During the Q&A session following the lecture, Sungkyunkwan University students asked sharp and high-level questions about the current issues in Dongdaemun District. Mayor Lee responded to all the students’ questions, satisfying their intellectual curiosity.
