Choi Ho-gwon, the mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, conducted a campaign on the afternoon of the 28th in the Daerim-dong area to prevent voice phishing and eradicate drugs.
The campaign was carried out with about 30 volunteers, both Korean and foreign residents, along with the Daerim Police Substation and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Mobile Patrol Unit 2, aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of voice phishing and narcotics.
On this day, Mayor Choi Ho-gwon toured the area from Daerim Station to Dasarang Children's Park and Daerim Central Market for about an hour, informing the public about the risks of voice phishing and drugs and urging caution.
Choi Ho-gwon, mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "Since voice phishing and drugs are spreading as social issues regardless of age, we conducted this campaign to raise awareness of their dangers," adding, "We will work harder to eradicate voice phishing and drugs that threaten the daily lives of our residents and make Yeongdeungpo District a safer place."
