Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the "2024 Changwon Welfare Expo" on the 27th and 28th at the 3.15 Haeyangnuri Park and various locations throughout Changwon.


Celebrating its 15th edition this year, the expo was held outdoors for the first time in a decade under the slogan "Connecting Hearts, There Is Hope," allowing citizens to see Changwon's welfare services at a glance through various welfare programs and experience booths.


Over 100 welfare facilities and organizations participated to widely promote various welfare services and emphasized the need to accompany and support the socially disadvantaged.

Changwon Special City Successfully Concludes 'Changwon Welfare Expo' Outdoors for the First Time in 10 Years Changwon Mayor Hong Nampyo toured the Changwon Welfare Expo held outdoors.

On the first day, a civic lecture and research forum were held at the Changwon Welfare Foundation to explore the direction of welfare development in Changwon, and a talk concert with field welfare experts and university students majoring in social welfare was held at Changshin University.


On the second day, an awards ceremony for contributors to welfare development and various experience booths were held alongside the commemorative ceremony, receiving a great response from citizens. In particular, an easy-to-understand welfare policy promotion center by life stage was set up for the first time, providing citizens with an opportunity to see and experience Changwon's welfare policies at a glance.


Additionally, a small concert featuring cultural and artistic groups and users of social welfare institutions was held, further enhancing the atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.


Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, "We will continue to work in cooperation with social welfare-related organizations to ensure that Changwon's welfare services can provide practical help to more citizens."
