LS Future Day is an event that has been continuously promoted since Chairman Gu’s inauguration, expanding the existing research and development (R&D) performance sharing meeting, LS T-Fair, to new business areas. This year marks its third edition. Ambidextrous management reflects Chairman Gu’s strong will to balance the development of existing core businesses such as electricity, power, and materials technology with future technologies like AI and big data, maximizing business synergy and providing customer-centric solutions.
The event was attended by about 200 executives and employees, including CEOs, COOs, and CTOs from various LS Group affiliates. LS Group presented 21 projects divided into three areas: ▲new business ▲technology ▲innovation, including customer experience innovation through generative AI and the construction of electric vehicle charging stations linked with energy storage systems (ESS) using ultracapacitors (UC). Outstanding cases were awarded. Employees selected as outstanding cases were named 'LS Futurists' and received the opportunity to attend CES 2025, the world’s largest home appliance and IT exhibition, to experience the latest technology trends alongside Chairman Gu.

At this LS Future Day, AI experts such as Professor Choi Jae-sik from KAIST, Director Kim Deok-jin of the IT Communication Research Institute, Professor Kim Deok-jung from Sookmyung Women’s University, and Professor Kim Sang-gyun from Kyung Hee University were invited to give lectures on AI application cases and "Corporate Work Methods and Core Competencies in the AI Era." Additionally, an on-site printing booth was operated where employees could create their own custom T-shirts using generative AI.
LS Group plans to regularly hold 'LS Future Day' every September to October in the future, developing it into a festival where employees can experience AI innovation firsthand.
