"No Sign of Remorse" Sniping
Former Adore employee A, who raised allegations of workplace sexual harassment and concealment of the facts, has once again struck back at former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin.
On the 28th, A posted on their Instagram story, "There still hasn't been a single apology," and stated, "Min Hee-jin interfered in the investigation to cover up reports of workplace sexual harassment and bullying, disclosed my KakaoTalk messages without consent, spread false information, and repeatedly used abusive language behind my back." They continued, "When I demanded a public apology, the response I received was an 18-page slanderous document including the disclosure of my salary, saying things like 'You couldn't do your job, you are a Hive member, didn't you also enjoy drinking parties?' and last week, the vice president filed a criminal defamation lawsuit against me."
A said, "It is shocking that so many people believe and support the story of someone who consistently ignores rebuttals to lies such as 'I remained neutral' and 'They were fired because they couldn't do their job'." They added, "At least I thought there would be some remorse. But seeing them bury the issue as if it never happened, shouting that they are innocent, and their close aide, the vice president, filing a criminal lawsuit against me, shows no sign of remorse, which is regrettable." They concluded, "Does ignoring it quietly make it disappear? I will win too." This appears to mock former CEO Min’s statement on the 27th at the '2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel' lecture, where Min said regarding Hive, "I am not guilty. You cannot fabricate a crime that does not exist," and "I will win."
Previously, A claimed that during their tenure at Adore, they were subjected to bullying and sexual harassment by a former executive of Adore and that former CEO Min tried to cover up the incident. Min’s side explained, "This case was closed by the Hive personnel committee with a 'no charges' decision," denying A’s claims as untrue. A revealed they are pursuing civil and criminal lawsuits as well as filing complaints with the Labor Office, while Hive acknowledged issues during the resignation process and said they have selected an external firm to conduct a reinvestigation.
A expressed, "Every time a new lawsuit is filed, it costs tens of millions of won, and I have to seek the company's understanding to attend weekday investigation testimonies." They added, "My heart races and the stress is so severe that I have to take sedatives during testimonies, which disrupts my daily life." Nevertheless, they said, "I am going through all the necessary procedures to seek relief for my grievances and damages. This process is difficult but necessary and, in a way, I am grateful." They concluded, "The most painful part is the perpetrator’s shamelessness in consistently ignoring me, the overwhelming support and defense of the perpetrator flooding the internet, and the secondary harm caused by attacks using the perpetrator’s logic."
