The '7th Gunsan Mailbox Street Handwritten Letter Festival' was held successfully on the 27th and 28th.

According to Gunsan City, Jeonbuk, on the 28th, this festival attracted many local residents and visitors with various events recreating nostalgic memories of romantic old times.

The event was held under the theme of 'Luck.' Various experiential activities and attractions were prepared, including handwritten letter writing, mailbox coloring, making personalized stamps, and street performances. Mayor Kang Im-jun of Gunsan, Chairman Kim Woo-min of the Gunsan City Council, and National Assembly member Shin Young-dae attended, encouraging the efforts of local residents and officials who prepared the handwritten letter festival.

Mayor Kang said, "We will do our best to cooperate so that Gunsan Mailbox Street becomes more vibrant in the future," adding, "We will also actively work on discovering local characteristics like Mailbox Street through urban regeneration projects."

Meanwhile, this festival, now in its 7th year, is a successful example of a resident-led urban regeneration project directly organized by the Gunsan Mailbox Street Landscape Agreement Operation Committee (Chairman Bae Hak-seo), composed of local residents. The operation of tool kit experiential activities conducted directly by local residents has become an opportunity to strengthen community efforts and capabilities for regional development.

Visitors to the event unanimously said, "Through various experiential activities using handwritten letters, we shared and supported each other's feelings that we usually cannot express or overlook in daily life, creating a meaningful time."

Chairman Bae Hak-seo of the operation committee expressed, "We sincerely thank everyone who has shown great interest and support for the Gunsan Mailbox Street Handwritten Letter Festival so far," and added, "We will strive to make the handwritten letter festival richer and more abundant through continuous community activities."
