On the 27th, Jang Yoon-jung posted "Acknowledged" on Instagram, adding, "'I find the reason for all problems in myself' is something I often think and say." She also said, "I don't think the trot craze has cooled down. I don't believe the ticket prices are the reason for the issue." She continued, "Tomorrow's concert, which I haven't done in a while, I practiced once more early this morning with an excited heart, packed my bags, and am ready to depart," adding, "The fewer the audience, the more I will make eye contact with each person while singing." She concluded her post with, "I am not giving up. So please don't push me away."
The remaining seats for the concert, held twice at 2 PM and 6 PM on the 28th at Daegu EXCO 5th floor Convention Hall, exceed 1,000 seats for each session. Ticket prices for this concert are set between 121,000 and 143,000 KRW. Following reports of this situation, it appears Jang Yoon-jung shared her feelings.
Her husband, Do Kyung-wan, commented, "Awesome! Proud of you." As fans continued to show support, Jang Yoon-jung responded, "Thank you all so much."
Marking her 25th debut anniversary this year, Jang Yoon-jung has been conducting the '2024 Jang Yoon-jung Live Concert' since January, starting in Gwangju and continuing through Yangsan, Ulsan, Namyangju, Busan, and Daejeon.
Jang Yoon-jung won the grand prize at the 1999 Riverside Song Festival. Beginning with her first full album 'Eomeona' in 2004, she released numerous hit songs such as 'Jjan Jjara,' 'Itta Ittayo,' and 'Mokpo-bound Local Train,' establishing herself as the queen of trot. In 2012, she was recognized as a representative singer of South Korea by holding her 10th anniversary debut concert at the Sejong Center Grand Theater, known for its rigorous booking process.
