The Most Enjoyed Exercise Among Office Workers is 'Health Training'

The most popular exercise among domestic office workers was found to be 'health training.' Workers in their 30s exercised the most, while those in their 40s exercised the least.


According to the survey results of "Office Workers, Do You Exercise?" released on the 27th by HR tech company Incruit, in response to the question "Do you exercise regularly?" ▲Yes (73.5%) ▲No (26.5%), it was found that 7 out of 10 office workers (73.5%) exercise regularly. This survey was conducted with 1,002 office workers.


The main reason for exercising was ▲for self-management (39.5%). This was followed by ▲to build stamina (33.7%), ▲for dieting (19.6%), ▲because exercising is fun (5.6%), and ▲others (1.6%). On the other hand, respondents who do not exercise cited ▲lack of time to exercise (53.3%) and ▲dislike of exercise (26.3%) as reasons.

By age group, ▲77.6% of those in their 30s said they exercise. This was followed by ▲20s (74.1%), ▲50s and above (73.9%), and ▲40s (68.2%). By gender, ▲men (73.9%) and ▲women (73.1%) showed similar rates.


The most popular exercise among office workers was ▲health training (30.9%). Second was ▲walking (21.6%), and third was ▲running (12.0%). This was followed by ▲Pilates and yoga (8.1%), ▲home training (7.5%), and ▲swimming (5.1%). Team ball games such as soccer accounted for 3.1%, and golf was 2.9%. ▲Tennis and badminton and martial arts such as jiu-jitsu were 2.9% and 0.9%, respectively.


The largest group of office workers exercised 3 to 4 times a week (50.5%), and the time invested in exercise was 30 minutes to 1 hour for 45.2%, and 1 to 2 hours for 42.9% of respondents.


This survey was conducted from September 23 to 24, with a 95% confidence level and a sampling error of ±3.01%.
