The 2nd Gyeonggi Province Policy Advisory Committee has officially set sail.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that it held the first meeting of the ‘2nd Policy Advisory Committee’ on the 27th, attended by Jeon Hae-cheol, Chairperson of the Policy Advisory Committee, newly appointed advisory members, and key department heads.

Governor Kim Dong-yeon emphasized, "I want to change the country once. South Korea cannot continue as it is. Politics is chaotic, people’s livelihoods are in distress, and I wonder if our economic framework can continue like this. I hope the education system itself can be changed. I hope society can be structured around integration and harmony."
He continued, "I feel very frustrated and think we cannot continue like this. As a governor, a long-time public official, a politician, and a citizen, I want to change South Korea. I want to start by changing Gyeonggi Province. I hope to give the people the belief and trust that when Gyeonggi Province changes, things can change like that," he added.
Furthermore, he said, "If Vision 2030 was a policy package for the vision of South Korea in 2030 and for various work methods, now we need a ‘New Vision 2030.’ I strongly hope Gyeonggi Province will create such a vision and demonstrate its implementation. I hope you will join forces with us."
He also expressed hope, saying, "Usually, advisory committee members are thought of as nominal and formal, but I do not think so at all. I hope we can work together as comrades and partners."
