Jeong Gidong, Jeong Myeongsik, and Jeong Hyoseop Receive Rural Development Administration Commissioner Awards and Others
Goseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Ham Myeong-jun) announced that on September 27, the graduation ceremony for the "16th Goseong-gun Farmers' University Bell Pepper Class" was held at the Goseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center.
On September 27, graduates and guests of the '16th Goseong Agricultural College, Bell Pepper Class' in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, are taking a commemorative photo after the graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony was attended by about 50 people, including Ham Myeong-jun, the university president and governor of Goseong-gun, graduates, and guests, with 32 students completing the course.
Goseong-gun Farmers' University has been operated since 2009, starting with the 1st Rural Tourism Class, aiming to cultivate talented individuals who possess both agricultural technology and management skills to lead local agriculture.
The 16th Farmers' University was organized to enhance cultivation skills by inviting experts such as chili pepper meisters to provide theory and field-oriented customized education necessary for farmers to foster high-quality bell pepper cultivation. The program was conducted from January to September, totaling 104 hours.
On September 27, graduates and guests held a celebration party after the graduation ceremony of the "16th Goseong-gun Agricultural College, Bell Pepper Class" in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do. On this day, the awardees of the Farmers' University Bell Pepper Class included Class Leader Jeong Gi-dong, who received the Rural Development Administration Commissioner Award for his dedicated volunteer spirit and contributions to student council activities; Jeong Myeong-sik, the general affairs officer, who received the Governor's Award; and graduate Jeong Hyo-seop, who received the Governor's Commendation.
Ham Myeong-jun, governor of Goseong-gun, said, "Congratulations to all the bell pepper class graduates who have faithfully devoted themselves to their studies and livelihoods despite difficult circumstances," and added, "Please continue to strive to cultivate bell peppers of even higher quality and productivity in Goseong-gun."
