Gangnam-gu and Nowon-gu in Seoul have launched a website where youth policies can be viewed in one place.
These autonomous districts took this step to systematically organize dispersed youth information and improve user convenience.
As a result, it is expected that residents' interest in youth policies will increase.
Gangnam-gu Launches Youth Information Site ‘Gangnam Cheongnyeon Nuri’
Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) has launched the website ‘Gangnam Cheongnyeon Nuri,’ which gathers various youth policy information in one place, and has begun full-scale promotion of youth policies.
The district has enacted a basic youth ordinance and established a dedicated team to focus on youth support. Although various youth policies are being promoted by different departments and related organizations, there was feedback that information on support projects was scattered, making it difficult for young people to access.
Accordingly, the district built an integrated website where related information can be checked at a glance.
‘Gangnam Cheongnyeon Nuri’ systematically organizes useful information for youth and connects related links to enhance user convenience.
It includes ▲‘Gangnam Youth Policy,’ which introduces an overview of Gangnam-gu’s youth policies and youth policy organizations ▲‘Project Introduction,’ covering 28 benefits such as jobs, housing & finance, health & welfare, education & culture ▲‘Community,’ which introduces youth support spaces such as Gangnam-gu’s single-person household community center and useful external sites like the Seoul Job Portal.
To promote the newly launched youth policy website, the district held a naming contest event from July 29 to August 18. Among a total of 261 proposals, ‘Gangnam Cheongnyeon Nuri,’ meaning a world gathering youth policies, was selected as the grand prize winner and adopted as the official name to raise residents’ interest and awareness of youth policies.
Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “Since this website was built to help young people find the information they need more easily, we will strive to enhance functions for convenience improvements such as real-time information provision,” adding, “We will continue to listen to the voices of youth and promote various policies that are practically helpful.”
Nowon-gu Launches Youth Portal System ‘Cheongnyeon Nuri’
Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) has established the youth portal system ‘Cheongnyeon Nuri’ to support social participation by enhancing youth information accessibility.
This system launch was promoted as the district actively accepted suggestions from last year’s ‘Nowon-gu Youth Forum.’ Although the district had been expanding youth support policies significantly since establishing the Youth Policy Division in January last year, there was a regret that from the youth perspective, it was difficult to clearly check the district’s policies due to poor information accessibility.
The newly launched Nowon-gu youth portal system ‘Cheongnyeon Nuri’ allows users to view annual schedules showing youth policies and progress by sector at a glance, as well as facilities and spaces for youth, and youth policies nationwide all in one place.
Besides the basic function of providing information, Cheongnyeon Nuri will also operate a section where youth can express their voices and share opinions on district policies, thereby promoting two-way communication.
The Nowon-gu youth portal can be easily accessed via a separate website address or through the shortcut tab at the top of the Nowon-gu district office homepage. The district plans to actively enhance user convenience and strengthen communication and empathy with youth through continuous updates.
Based on three major strategies?‘discovering youth jobs,’ ‘building a youth safety net,’ and ‘establishing a foundation for youth participation activities’?the district is making efforts to create a ‘city where youth stay longer.’
The newly launched Cheongnyeon Nuri is related to promoting youth participation among the district’s youth policies, which are implemented through 48 detailed projects under five major tasks. It was judged necessary to stably manage communication channels between youth and the district to expand youth participation throughout district administration and create a virtuous cycle where youth can feel the results.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “A two-way communication space with the youth who will lead Nowon-gu’s future has been established,” adding, “We will continuously check youth opinions through the youth portal and actively reflect them in policies.”
