Expecting the Spread of Jeong Yak-yong Childcare Curriculum through Sharing In-House Childcare Programs
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 27th that on the 26th, it held a case presentation on the Jeong Yak-yong childcare curriculum as part of the ‘Namyangju-type Jeong Yak-yong Childcare Center Branding’ project for directors and childcare teachers of local daycare centers.
The ‘Namyangju-type Jeong Yak-yong Childcare Center Branding’ project incorporates the life and achievements of Jeong Yak-yong into the childcare curriculum through play, allowing children to experience them from infancy. Currently, about 4,000 infants and toddlers from 200 daycare centers in the area are participating.
In this childcare curriculum case presentation, 20 daycare centers shared their in-house childcare programs, and 430 childcare staff showed interest in the Jeong Yak-yong childcare curriculum.
A teacher who participated in the presentation said, “I confirmed that various play activities can be conducted on the same theme, and there were many programs that can be immediately applied in the childcare field, so it was a valuable time.”
An official from the city said, “We express our respect and gratitude to the teachers who created the childcare curriculum with various ideas.”
