Competition to Attract Jeongchayeok Station at the 2024 Busan International Travel Fair

Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) held a promotional event at the '2024 Busan International Travel Fair' on the 27th to attract a KTX-Eum stop station.

Gijang County employees are promoting the attraction of the Gijang County Eumyeok station at the 2024 Busan International Travel Fair venue.

On this day, the county drew attention from visitors by promoting the feasibility of attracting a KTX-Eum stop station to Gijang-gun at the county tourism promotion booth, leading visitors in a unified chant to support the cause, and holding various events.

Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, said, "Local organizations and residents are united in their efforts to attract the KTX-Eum stop station to Gijang-gun," and added, "We will focus all administrative resources until the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport makes its decision, and take the lead in making Gijang-gun a transportation hub."

Gijang-gun has already completed a feasibility study for attracting a KTX-Eum stop station in 2022 and directly submitted a petition signed by 141,000 residents to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2023, carrying out all-out efforts to secure the station.
