Support for Successful International Student Life
Kyungnam College of Information & Technology (President Kim Taesang) held an opening ceremony for the ISF (International Student Fellowship), a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the 26th to support the successful study abroad experience of international students.
The event was attended by Vice President Park Yangsu, faculty members, and around 20 international students from Vietnam, Japan, and Myanmar.
The Kyungnam College of Information & Technology ISF assigns two students to each teacher and provides support for international students, including Korean language classes, Korean cultural experiences, visits to part-time job companies, and hospital accompaniment, to help them settle in Korea smoothly.
Professor Kim Kyungmi said, "We have prepared a variety of programs to help international students successfully settle in Korea while studying at Kyungnam College of Information & Technology," and added, "We will further strengthen our efforts to operate a settlement-type study abroad program that takes responsibility for Korean language education, degree courses, and employment."
The ISF International Student Fellowship is an organization that has been supporting the successful study abroad life of international students in Korea since 1997. Currently, 45 universities nationwide are cooperating with the ISF headquarters to support international students. Kyungnam College of Information & Technology is the first among junior colleges nationwide to participate.
Gyeongnam College of Information Technology is launching the first international student association among junior colleges and is taking a commemorative photo.
