Miryang City to Host Miryang International Yoga Conference on October 5

Sunshine Miryang Theme Park and Yoga Culture Town

The 8th Miryang International Yoga Conference, hosted by Miryang City and organized by Viveka Yoga, will be held on October 5 at the Yoga Culture Town in Sunshine Miryang Theme Park under the theme "The Power of Yoga."

The event will begin with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by a keynote speech by Chancellor Nagendra of Swami Vivekananda Yoga University in India, as well as lectures by renowned yoga experts from around the world. This has drawn significant interest and registrations from yoga enthusiasts. In addition, there will be various activities for the general public to experience and enjoy yoga firsthand, including yoga classes, demonstrations, and busking performances.

In particular, at 6:30 p.m. in the Culture Plaza, a yoga culture concert will take place, filling the autumn evening with yoga music. Set in the beautiful nature of Miryang, the yoga culture concert is open to professional yogis, club members, and local citizens alike, featuring a variety of stories and captivating performances centered around yoga.

Mayor Ahn Byunggu stated, "This conference has been prepared with a variety of experiential events not only for professional yogis but also for tourists and citizens. I hope many people will show interest and participate in this yoga festival where you can enjoy Miryang yoga," adding, "I also hope many will visit Sunshine Miryang Theme Park, which is full of attractions, activities, and entertainment throughout all four seasons."

Meanwhile, the Yoga Culture Town, which is hosting the International Yoga Conference again this year following last year, is establishing itself as a new type of wellness cultural space in Miryang, where visitors can experience and enjoy yoga that combines the beautiful nature of Miryang with authentic Indian yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda.
