The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group, affiliated with the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), and Becamex IDC (Vietnam Industrial Park and New Urban Area Development Corporation) signed a memorandum of understanding on the 26th in Binh Duong, Vietnam, to promote smart factory projects between Korea and Vietnam.

Along with the signing ceremony, a Smart Factory Expo was held in Binh Duong. The Smart Factory Expo featured the Korea-Vietnam Digital Manufacturing Innovation Forum, the K-Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center, and a pavilion for Korean technology supply companies.
The 'Korea-Vietnam Digital Manufacturing Innovation Forum,' aimed at promoting policies, leading technologies, and successful cooperation cases of smart factories between Korea and Vietnam, was also held on the 25th.
Ahn Kwang-hyun, head of the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group, stated, "We will cooperate mutually to promote smart factory projects between Korea and Vietnam," adding, "This will provide an opportunity for excellent domestic technology supply companies to enter the Vietnamese market, expand their global business scope, and grow."
