Iljin Highsolus's Type 4 hydrogen transport tube trailer was selected as the top innovative technology at H2MEET, the largest hydrogen industry exhibition in Korea.
The H2MEET Organizing Committee announced the 10 final award-winning companies for the H2 Innovation Award 2024 on the 25th. The award is hosted by the committee and jointly organized by the Korea Hydrogen Union, Korea Energy Agency, and Korea Institute for Industrial Technology Evaluation and Planning. Winners were selected across three categories: hydrogen production, storage & transportation, and utilization.
Iljin Highsolus, which received the grand prize, is the only company in Korea capable of producing Type 4 hydrogen transport tube trailers. Except for Toyota Motor Corporation overseas, no other company produces them. Instead of conventional steel containers, they are made with non-metallic liners and carbon fiber composites, earning high marks for storage capacity and safety.

The Excellence Award in the production category went to Utility Global for its H2Gen TM reactor built on a self-developed technology platform. This technology produces hydrogen by utilizing residual energy in the form of carbon monoxide contained in waste gas, requiring no electricity during the hydrogen conversion process and applicable to various industrial processes.
The Excellence Award in the storage & transportation category was awarded to Mt. H Control Valve for its high-pressure hydrogen dispenser flow control valve. The organizer explained that by independently designing the body and trim parts, the valve standardizes specifications even in small-batch, multi-product production environments requiring various valve standards, simplifying the manufacturing process. The Excellence Award in the utilization category went to eFlow for its 1.5 kW hydrogen fuel cell electric generator. As a portable electric generator, it serves as an emergency power source without emitting noise, smoke, or pollutants.

Other Excellence Awards were given to Techross (renewable energy direct alkaline water electrolysis system), Carbon Value (blue hydrogen production using an RPB-based CO2 capture system), Emerson Korea (safety valves for liquefied hydrogen), Unidbit Plus (hydrogen gas detection products), Enerjin (low strain rate tensile tester for hydrogen embrittlement evaluation), and Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (direct injection hydrogen engine).
Gang Nam-hoon, chairman of the organizing committee, stated, "We will strengthen our role as a foundation supporting balanced development of Korea’s hydrogen industry by promoting the exchange of innovative technologies across all sectors including hydrogen production, storage & transportation, and utilization."
