'Back to Work'... Job Fair Opens New Opportunities for Senior Employment

Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province successfully concluded the '1st Gumi 60+ Job Fair' at the Gumi Multipurpose Sports Center on the 25th.

This event, organized by the Gumi Senior Job Creation Support Center (Director Kwon Gu-il), attracted over 1,000 job seekers and local residents, serving as an opportunity to expand economic independence and social participation for the elderly.


Held under the slogan 'Back to Work Day,' the event provided practical job counseling and various experiences for job seekers. In particular, the booth offering resume photo shooting and attachment services on-site to help with interview preparation received a great response from attendees.


Thirty recruiting companies, including Gabul Gumi Rehabilitation Hospital and HTG, participated in the event to provide tailored job information for senior job seekers and facilitate job matching through on-site interviews.


In addition, ten institutions such as Keimyung University Lifelong Education Center, National Health Insurance Service, and National Pension Service collaborated to provide essential information on health, welfare, and pensions for the elderly, offering comprehensive counseling services.


One job seeker who participated shared, "It was very beneficial to gain new job information and experience various activities through this event, which was held in Gumi for the first time."


Kwon Gu-il, Director of the Gumi Senior Job Creation Support Center, who organized the event, emphasized, "I am grateful for the great interest and cooperation from related organizations and recruiting companies for this first-time event in Gumi. We will continue to hold job fairs to provide diverse job opportunities in the future."
