Goyang-si Opens 'Plant Hospital'... First Step Toward Wellness City

Goyang Special City held an opening ceremony for the Plant Hospital located on the first floor of the main building of the Agricultural Technology Center on the 26th.

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it held the opening ceremony of the Plant Hospital located on the first floor of the main building of the Agricultural Technology Center at 11 a.m. on the 26th.

The Plant Hospital diagnoses crop damage caused by physiological disorders due to abnormal climate and increased pests and diseases to help farmers and urban residents understand plants and engage in stable agricultural activities. It also provides plant care techniques and services in response to the growing demand for companion plants among urban residents.

Additionally, a healing agriculture space that stimulates the five senses through plants has been established to promote the emotional and psychological stability of people who raise companion plants, contributing to the creation of a wellness city where plants and people live together harmoniously.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City stated, "The goal is to create a representative emotional healing city in the metropolitan area where citizens and nature coexist harmoniously through the 'Goyang E-DEAL 2030 Project,' and the opening of the Plant Hospital is the first step."
